Mixed Space and Time

This will be a mixture of so many things.

Books for October

October is spooky time! This is the month you should add a bit of scary into your reads. I will give you some suggestions of books and a bit about them.

Suggestions

Verity by Colleen Hoover

I don’t know how many times and how many people I raved about this book to. First, I love Colleen Hoover so I am a bit biased. I ready the book when it came out and finished it that day. I remember I was on a flight and could not put it down! This book still has me wondering after reading it. You will know once you read it. It’s about a women named Verity Crawford . She is a writer and her books are loved. She gets into a tragic accident and can no long finish the series she was working on. Her husbands finds a ghost writer, Lowen, to finish it. Lowen moves into the Crawford house and goes through Verity’s work. Lowen finds a manuscript to her unfinished autobiography. This is where things get creepy!  There is another side of Verity that Lowen keeps secret from Verity’s husband because she is falling in love with him. You have to read this book to find out what that secret is!

• Layla by Colleen Hoover

Yup, another CoHo book! This one was another day finish! This one is about a boy, Leeds, that meets a girl, Layla. They fall in love but something happens to Layla. Layla is attacked by someone from the past and it leaves her in critical condition. She makes it through by a thread and can not remember much. Leeds takes her on a vacation to where they met but he ends up meeting a spirit, Willow, living in the house. Something about Willow is comfortable for him. However, things take a turn that has Leeds finding a ghost hunter to help. This book really took a turn that I was excited and yet shocked about.

• Devil's night series by Penelope Douglas

This series was just so amazing!!!! Corrupt, Hideaway, Kill Switch, Conclave, Nightfall, and Fire Night. These 6 books are all set around Halloween. Each book follows the story of a specific person but they are tie in together because they all know each other. Some are friends, some are enemies. There is romance and mystery. There are details to the romance and if that is not something you are into, skip this series. I just loved the stories that went along with each character and the struggles that made them who they are. My favorite was Hideaway. I may re-read this series.

What I plan to read

Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

I am most excited to read The Midnight Library. I have heard so many good things about this book. I feel like it should be a fast read. I just re-started Kingdom of Flesh and Fire. My pregnancy just distracted me from finishing this series but I am excited to finish this book and read the next one.

What books do you plan to read for this spooky month?
